Brrrrrrrrrrr!!!
Baby it is COLD outside here right now, and while I love snow for Christmas, personally I think the craziness of -35* below zero for overnight temps is a little extreme for December…..right?
But either way, Christmas spirit is bubbling over here at the Welcoming House during our HomeSpun Christmas Celebration as we encourage our readers to participate in our giveaways and support small businesses, or virtual craft fair participants! It is time to get those small purchases out of the way and winging their way to you for the Christmas celebration…and there are so many wonderful small businesses creating awesome items just for you!
Just curious, but have you checked out the SHOP tab up above? Lots of great small businesses are putting their links on there hoping you will come over and take a look at what they have to offer! Gifts for every budget are available, and you will be supporting someone who works from home!
Today I am blessed to share with you another fantastic and adorable giveaway for the Littles in your life via WhimZ B’s Creations! If you have not read our other posts about WhimZ B’s owner Beth Dodson, then you have really been missing out! Not only does she make the most adorable camo aprons, Â she also makes wooden spoons that are creative and whimsical.
Seriously, I am just scratching the surface of her abilities by pointing those things out…how about giving you a peek of what my girls and I are all getting for Christmas this year from her amazing shop?
I would show you all the other items, but since some family members read this to keep up with our craziness, I don’t want to spoil the surprise they will be getting in a couple weeks!
Today Beth is offering an adorable child’s apron that she calls a “mini me” apron for our readers to enter to win! The body is red checked fabric, the ribbon is chevron, and it is trimmed in super cute mitten fabric for those awesome cookie baking moments with the precious Little that wins it! Here is an image:Â
IN her own words, here is what Beth has to say about her work, her hobby, her crafts, and her passion to do this:
I have been making crafts since I was a youngster! My grandmother was crafty and was trying something new every week according to a craft section in the local newspaper. She taught me how to sew, decorate cakes, and do all kinds of crafts. I started my blog at the end of 2010. I’m afraid I’m not a “dedicated” blogger.
My favorite part is seeing others appreciate and enjoy what I make. And I love knowing that my craftiness is a gift of God (Exodus 35: 31-35)
The coming year will be bringing alot of changes for me and my little family. We will be moving, downsizing and simplifying. I would love to support my family financially with what I do and make.
The SINGLE, most IMPORTANT thing in my life is my GOD. He is my salvation and my life. Without HIM, I would be most miserable.
The one thing I would love for everyone to do this holiday is to stop being sooooo busy that the true meaning is completely lost. What a sad thing to go to bed dead tired on Christmas night and to not even have spent time with HIM. I speak from experience… I have done it. Re-evaluate everything you do and think you have-to-do and make priorities.
My motto is : Christmas: Pure & Simple.

It’s a little warmer here in NC – than your snowy photo! 🙂
Love the aprons – I heard somewhere that an apron is like a super-hero’s cape…
and I echo the wish that we all stop being so busy that we miss out on what Christmas really is.
Blessed Christmas!
I love keeping Christmas simple. The wooden spoons are so cute, what a great practical gift with a bit of art too! Thanks for sharing.
Did you say -35 degrees?!? That’s crazy!
I hope things warm up for you…
Thank you for the great blog post! We have started the “commercial” part of Christmas this year in October(when big box stores do). In fact I just finished wrapping the last of the presents today! I now have 20 days to celebrate Christ and His birth. Here we make a birthday cake for Jesus instead of making a bunch of pies. To the giveaway- I would want a Minion hat. That way I could have an awesome stocking stuffer for my little guy.
I adore the apron! So cute cute cute. It amuses me how much my girls enjoy wearing aprons. I went through a long time when I didn’t even think to wear an apron but now I think they are a blast, all the way around!
I’m here from the Ultimate Blog Challenge facebook group… and by the way – it is 29 degrees here in Bakersfield, California and we are all whining about how cold it is! ha hahahahahahah!
Thank you so much for the reminder to slow down and be sure to spend time with Him. It is easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of the season. Your aprons are precious and I will definitely be entering your drawing. My little granddaughter would love it.
Thanks
My granddaughter would love the “Hello Kitty” hat. I do love the apron.
I think it would be the minion hats, thought the wild blond shaggy hair one is pretty hilarious.
