Cold, bitter weeks lie behind us, and one of my favorite months is here. What does February say to you?
To me it whispers…
Spring is coming in 6-8 weeks and the cold can not last forever.
Baby Bunnies with their adorable ears and warm fuzzy little bodies are only a month away.
Seeds and grow lights, and the miracle of watching plants pop through the soil is right around the corner.
The Superbowl, which turns my husband into a slavering, insanely yelling maniac for a few hours, but makes it up with awesome food, is something to look forward to. Really.
I plan my garden, and decide what worked, what didn’t and what new things we are trying to add this year.
My Handy Hubby has a birthday that I get to spoil him rotten on.
Valentines Day is one of my favorite days of the year because people freely give me chocolate. In abundance. Not to mention pretty cards, and sweet flowers, and lots of things that make my little heart happy.
I can make (and eat) as many heart shaped sugar cookies as I want and no one is the wiser. In fact, they join me. 🙂
The sun stays up longer and rises earlier, lessening my times spent under natural light bulbs to help with Vitamin D loss.
We celebrate lots of fun ideas, crafts, and foods as we learn about the Presidents at our homeschooling.
My girls get new dresses with hearts and lace and lots of frilly thank-God-He-Made-Me-A-Girl stuff all over them.
February means we are one step closer to warm temps, and bare feet, and blooming fruit trees. Strawberries and cream, crab apple blossoms, and flip flops. February is the month when winter begins to fade, and Spring whispers a promise that it is right around the corner.
What does it mean to you?
Blessings to you and yours,
