I wanted to just get on here today, after a long weekend of dealing with many sluggish issues and little to no improvement in my physical challenges, and share with you a new challenge I am taking for a while.
I have never, ever, been the kind of girl that lays down in the dust and feels sorry for herself. Instead, “I get knocked down and I get up again…” truly is something I believe in and that will to live, be happy, find the silver lining in the dark cloud, is an intrinsic part of who I am.
So let me tell you about my challenge.
Yesterday I came across this website linked by a friend, where you commit for 100 days to post a single picture about something that makes you happy . Something simple, or complex, something important and meaningful, etc.
And you all KNOW I love to take photos.
SO I am going to share this challenge with you, tell you to leave a comment and let me know you are participating. I am planning on sharing my photos each day with a little story and the hashtag #100HappyDays over on Facebook.
Today’s was simple. My husband is working 6 days a week right now, and I see him so little. Today was his day off, and what is he doing? Running me to appointment so I can get blood drawn for more tests to be run, singing to our kids in the car, suprising me with a trip to my favorite restaurant even though it is 45 minutes away.
What is my “Day 1 of Happy Days”? Why this of course……
What’s yours?
Take the challenge and come share this journey with me.
Blessings to you and yours,
~Heather <3
I too have some physical challenges right now, and I love your idea! I’m in!
All right Karen, I am counting on it! COme share with me your image over on the Facebook page! Or email it to me!
Blessings,
~Heather
What would we do without these wonderful men in our lives? Oh sure there are times we would like to pinch their heads off and stuff it down their throats, but then why would we do that??!! I do hope that things start to turn around for you and get you back on the rainbow road. Its a good idea to take photos to keep us away, visually, of what our life is filled with. At present, I am dealing with a situation that has been rumbling for a long time and it may blow in or around July. (Mr St Helen’s, not Krakatoa ). So to see this picture of your hand in your hubby’s ( I am assuming) is really sweet. Well tomorrow lets all put on our big girl shoes and make it a little further. Bless you dear heart.
Yep that’s the same hand that has been holding mine for 18 years. 🙂
And I still choke up every time I look at this picture. <3
Thanks Diane, praying for you too. <3
Blessings,
~Heather
