One of the things about living in a 120 year old house…you learn that it takes a good amount of time and energy to upkeep.

Finding an effective, simple, and gently recipe to take care of the gorgeous wood around this house has taken time…and some experimenting. However, I love having a cleaner that not only preserves the beauty of the house, but is simple to make!

The wood in my home has been kept glowing for more than 5 years because of this recipe, and because I know many of my readers also love and cherish old wood pieces, or houses, then this is for you. 😀

Essential Oil Old Wood Cleaner

In a jelly jar combine the following:

1 cup Extra Virgin Olive oil of a good quality

5 drops Lemon Essential oil (see my choice here)

2 drops Cinnamon Bark Essential Oil

1 tsp white vinegar

To use this…shake jar well before using (it should always stay capped up until you use it). Dip a white rag like an old washcloth into the jar and rub into the wood. A little goes a very long way, and with a circular motion, rub into the wood. Let it sit for a short time, 5 minutes or so, then wipe off with long strokes following the grain of the wood.

So easy. Smells amazing. Totally safe for little hands or pets.

Let me know what you think when you try it!

Blessings to you and yours,

Heather <3
