We all have them. Every single one of us. And while some people have got it all together and have nothing to do on their hands but make cutesy creations to hold them forever in effigy like this Pinterest Find:

That would just be a torturous reminder to me that I have three girls and a Handy Hubby who are all very hard on their socks and who, I think, have a passion in life to drive me mad with throwing one of them out so that I never find the matches.

As in NEVER!

So, you can image how incredibly thrilled I was when I found this adorable post linked on Facebook the other day, by a not-so-wonderful group that was using the images and sending people to their page to get a lot of ad clicks.

Because I knew someone, somewhere, had taken a lot of time to create these cute babies out of socks, I tracked her down and decided I was going to feature her post on The Welcoming House.

This Russian Blog Created these!

(ps, the ads she has on there are pretty awful, so here is a link to a much tamer and happier site where she trackbacked the original author’s idea)

Follow the directions on the second link and you will have your very first sock doll baby in about 20 minutes. After that, you find it takes about ten to make each one. ๐Ÿ™‚

I think someone who makes something so absolutely adorable deserves GOOD treatment, and shame to the company that used her images for their own gain.

So, next time, before you throw out those socks that you are SURE are never going to have a mate again, set them aside and try this adorable craft for someone you love or who is soon having a baby, because this is one super cute craft that is as easy as it looks. ๐Ÿ™‚

And if you live in a household that does not have socks you can use, remember you can pick them up for $1 or less (that would make TWO cute babies) at most dollar stores, or even large box retailers. ๐Ÿ™‚

Blessings to you and yours,ร‚ย

~Heather

Ps–Here is my very first creation following her directions, and it just got better from there! SO adorable!
